About Toronto Home Energy Network

Empowering Partner Communities To Lead Their Own Retrofit Initiatives

Toronto Home Energy Network grew out of the Pocket Change Project in 2022, driven by passionate residents committed to a sustainable future. Now, as an incorporated non-profit, we support community-led retrofitting initiatives that help residents create healthier homes and improve our environment.

We are launching programs with Partner Communities across Toronto, organizing workshops and outreach events. We provide communities with tailored resources, help them connect homeowners with technical advisors, and advocate for accessible retrofitting pathways that make it easier for residents to upgrade their homes.

Toronto Home Energy Network Testimonial

...Reduce Climate Change, Reflecting Our Family's Values.

"Undertaking these home energy improvements was an easy addition to our renovation plans. While some of the work was made easier by the other renovations, most of these retrofits could have been done at any time.

The air sealing and insulation has made our home less cold and drafty, and we conserved energy this winter, putting fewer GHGs into the atmosphere, doing our small part to reduce climate change, reflecting our family’s values.”

~ Jeb, homeowner with the Pocket Change Project
