About the event

Heat pumps do heating and cooling. They are a modern technology that is much better for your comfort and for the planet than oil furnaces or baseboard heaters. Bring your questions! A speaker from the Energy Affordability Program will join us.

Who is eligible for a free heat pump?

The eligibility requirements are tight! We tried to lay them out in plain English here.

You must:

  • Have baseboard heating or an oil (not natural gas!) furnace.

  • Own, rent, or lease a residence (Yes! Renters can participate in the electric baseboard stream!).

  • Are the primary or secondary utility account holder.

If you got 3 out of 3 on these requirements, then keep reading! The next part is about your income—this program is only available to people who are income-eligible.

Income Requirements:

Have you collected any one of these benefits in the past 12 months? Great news—you're eligible for a free heat pump! You will still need to apply for the program and prove that you have received these benefits.

If you haven’t collected one of these benefits, check your income level in this chart. If your income is not above these limits, then you're eligible for the program.

We hope you can come and learn more about this exciting program. Getting free upgrades is a fantastic opportunity.
