West End Heat Pump Tour
Heat pumps are popping up all over Toronto—this tour is your chance to hear why your neighbours got theirs, how much they cost, and if there were any surprises along the way. The West End Tour will visit 6 homes with heat pumps around Wychwood Barns. See you there!
Time & Location
Apr 29, 2026, 5:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Wychwood Barns Playground (East Side!), 76 Wychwood Ave, Toronto, ON M6G 2X7, Canada
About the event
Switching to a cold climate heat pump is one of the most meaningful one-time climate actions you can take – this single project can reduce your home's carbon pollution by up to 80% and remove a significant source of indoor air pollutants.
This will be an outdoor walking tour (rain or shine). Total distance is just over a kilometer with regular breaks for short chats with homeowners. Please meet near the Wychwood Barns Playground for 5:45 pm — St. Clair West is the nearest subway station — and bring a reusable thermos or mug for your lemonade!😊
The speakers are regular homeowners who've switched to cold climate heat pumps. They'll be talking about:
Summer & winter comfort with a cold climate heat pump
Getting money back through rebates
Finding trustworthy contractors
Improving their indoor air quality
Using community connections to boost climate action
The West End Heat Pump Tour is presented by Green Neighbours Helena, the Green Neighbours Network & the Toronto Home Energy Network. All three groups are focused on helping people make their homes more energy efficient, healthy and sustainable.
