Heat Pumps Are Popping Up Across Toronto

But what's a heat pump?

A heat pump is an A/C and furnace in one—it can keep you cozy through a polar vortex and cool through a heat wave.

1⁄3 of homes in chilly New Brunswick are heated and cooled with cold climate heat pumps, and ⅔ of homes in wintry Norway and Sweden rely on them, too.

They look just like an A/C, and you don't have to do any underground drilling to get one installed.

Why are people so pumped about heat pumps?

There are three big reasons Torontonians are excited enough about heat pumps to put a sign on their lawn! Heat pumps are Modern, Clean, and Gas-free:

Is a heat pump right for your home?

Cold climate heat pumps work in century homes and new builds. Homes with radiators, and homes with ductwork or without it, can all have heat pumps.

But there are some things you have to think about before installing your first heat pump. We wrote this free Guidebook for people who are new to the heat pump possibility.

It has prices from other installations in Toronto, info on incentives, and tips for finding trustworthy contractors. There's nothing for sale in this Guidebook.
